    Anyway he's finished as a belt candidate. He in the time of life of a boxer to be a notch on younger fighters belts.

    Anyone could have beaten that punch drunk corpse of Makabu, and to give that hyperbolic statement some substance to it - I think a 47 year old Cunningham or 54 year old Tarver would have been very live in that fight.

    He peaked vs Hopkins where he bombarded him for 36 minutes. That was before the alcohol and poor training sapped his stamina and weakened his jaw.

    It would be good to see him back but cruiser is a bad idea and is only happening because he's old and fat. The guy is 6ft and lanky, he can easily make LHW in shape. If he's fighting defensive and skittish and just throwing jabs like that Pulev fight, some big-cutting HW cruiser will eventually KO him probably, especially if mcgirt is encouraging him to fight like an amateur and not throw the RH.

    The other thing is, he's not really becoming a 'true' cruiser, he's coming in light for cruiser which is also crazy from his team. So now he's fighting at cruiser as a LHW+, doesn't throw his RH anymore and is old. Gee, what could go wrong?

    I think if he stays at cruiser he at least needs to go back to power punching and then if he bulks up a bit he can maybe snipe some of these cruisers before they chin him, then retire with only borderline alcohol problems.
