...which may or may not be versus Marcus Browne, who got arrested last Thursday on domestic violence charges. This content is protected
Who says he's training? Maybe he just likes beating the **** out of tires with a sledgehammer? I sure do.
"Athlete's life goes on...preparing for the next fight at Boxing Laboratory (formerly known as the Roberto Garcia Boxing Academy)" - Kovalev's post translated into English. Also the sledgehammer is just video 1/7 - if you hover your cursor over the embed a little arrow will pop up so you can toggle onto the next one, there are six more.
Wait, so did you not see all three of the pics in my IG post in TMVAS? One had the rear label info, that was the most interesting part.
Nope I missed it, just like I missed this post earlier. I'll check it out now. This content is protected
So who is he going to face likely? Smith, Fonfara or Barrera? I think Kovalev needs a stay busy fight and then late in 2018 to fight someone like Bivol, Jack, Stevenson or Beterbiev. I guess Browne will be out for a while till he cleans his name...
Browne isn't ruled out yet, if they arraign him and he's released from custody and his next court date is after fight night. Either way Kovalev will be ready with effectively a thirteen week camp having started today, although it probably won't pick up and fully intensify until nearer the end of the month or even beginning of May. Does anybody know what Krusher's average camp length has been?
"It’s not surprising to see hear from Paxton that training begins early in the morning, as it does for most fighters. Paxton also mentions that Kovalev trains in the mountains of Big Bear, California for about 3-4 weeks. It’s quite short for a full camp so I presume some weeks of the training is done at John David Jackson’s gym (Kovalev’s trainer) in Jacksonville, Florida." I found this on internet. So I guess he does around 4 intense weeks and then probably 8 weeks at the gym.
He'll probably spend until about mid to late May just sort of hanging around the gym, staying fit, doing cardio and maybe some light warm-up sparring. Then by early June he'll kick into high gear.
