Big Dan wrote that Kovalev is looking to come back March 29 in Atlantic City and its possible he could end up facing Cedric Agnew but its not signed yet. He also said that paperwork has started for a match up in the fall, in Montreal, between Kovalev and Stevenson if they both win their next fights.
The only fight out there is Kovalev/Stevenson and until these two meet, whoever either man fights is going to be a let down tbh. Hope the fight happens sooner rather than later and Kovalev hands Stevenson the kind of justice the limp-wristed Canadian legal system failed to deliver.

President GYM , Yvon Michel , confirmed that he had already begun discussions with the television network HBO and clan Kovalev , in an interview with The Canadian Press on Monday. " It is the will of Adonis want unify WBC and WBO titles and demonstrate without a doubt he is the best boxer in the heavyweight division , said Michel . He gave me the mandate to organize this fight this year and has already begun discussions. " Stevenson holds the belt heavyweight WBC after his speedy victory by KO face Chad Dawson in June. It already has two successful defenses of his title , the last face Tony Bellew , November 30 . Kovalev , he is the champion heavyweight of the WBO since August 2013 when he was defeated Nathan Cleverly in the UK . He successfully defended his title on Nov. 30 also at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec, winning by KO Ismayl Sillah face . GYM hopes to present the struggle between two powerful hitters at the Bell Centre in Montreal, but other markets such as Las Vegas and Toronto have also shown interest. "It's obviously a struggle that will spark much interest. It could even be the most anticipated on the international scene this year fighting analyzed Michel . HBO is doing everything in its power to bring us closer to an agreement is reached. " The presentation of this confrontation is obviously conditional on both boxers win their next fight . Kovalev ( 23-0-1 , 21 KOs) , 30 years old , must fight March 29 against an opponent who is still not known . Stevenson (23-1 , 20 KOs) , 36, should be measured by Polish director Andrzej Fonfara ( 25-2 , 15 KOs) in his next fight will take place on May 24 , but nothing is confirmed yet . Michel is also in Florida this week to meet the promoter Fonfara . Support HBO The confirmation of this fight will not happen in the coming days , nor in the coming weeks as the discussions are still in the embryonic stage. Certainly Stevenson can count on the support of HBO . "At the end of the year, Ken Hershman , president of HBO, said it was a priority for the network to put this fight on foot in 2014. It is there, we have preliminary discussions and advance slowly . " In the words of its promoter , Stevenson has big goals for the year 2014. He was named Newcomer of the Year by the World Boxing Council in 2013 plans to continue its momentum . " Adonis wants to play three fights. He wants to beat Kovalev , he wants to be considered in the top 5 pound for pound and he wants to be the most spectacular and the most feared boxer in the division. There is a lot of work ahead , but fasten your toques, Adonis has an incredible year , "said Michel .
Kovalev in with a chump with a padded record, lol. Laughable. They keep guys like that on the outside, feeding them, cab drivers, and pastry chefs, so when there is a need for a name guy to fight a safe opponent, they can say hey, this guy is undefeated, we'll take him.
I don't know that Fonfara is really that much bigger a name or more of a serious contender than Agnew; he just happens to have landed on TV a few times and fought two big names mainly by piggybacking off the huge Polish fan base in Chicago where he is luckily based. Realistically if you take away Campillo (35, shot) and Johnson (45) - whose names both would have meant a lot more years earlier - their resumes are not dissimilar. Mack, Griffin, and Judah are no worse than Karpency, Cantrell, and Miller - in fact Agnew's three conquests are of higher grade. ...and of course for the past several months Fonfara's name has been jumbled around in all the Kovalev and Stevenson talk, culminating in getting tabbed for the WBC title shot, raising his profile even further above what his abilities merit. Anyway, yeah, Agnew is all but unknown by TV audiences so he won't do much for Kovalev except provide a zero to smash to pieces. I don't know that he'll do any worse than Fonfara would against Kovalev, however. (both get KTFO - Agnew is too ponderous and hesitant to withstand Kovalev's blistering offense, while Fonfara has trouble keeping his guard up and has that unfortunate combination of giraffe neck and bobble-head...)
