Sergey Kovalev - i think he is a bit of a psychopath

    I don't necessarily see anything wrong with this either ,in fact I love it but he doesn't seem to, you know feel empathy or remorse

    I know he has said to have been devastated by what happened to Simakov, which is more than likely true, but it doesn't seem to have changed he's mind set in the slightest.

    he constantly derides boxers for not standing up and taken more punishment. He gives out that he would have like to continue hurting them but the fight was stopped. Keep in mind this is exactly what happened in the Simakov fight where it in my opinion should have been stopped as he was just taken a beating and wasn't going to win, but he was a very tough and brave man.

    I mean he broke mohammedi and pascals noses and was doing serious damage to them but still wants to keep beating them senseless. he is one boxer you would look at if you were a parent and say, 'I really don't want my son fighting him'.

    I don't think so. Psychopaths don't have much discipline. I think he was pee'ed at Pascal for some of his comments and for how he went at his trainer. He said he did not like him. I think he viewed him as cognitively weak. I think part of Kov's talk is he is trying to cultivate a tough killer image. From what I've read Kov did right by the guy he killed... giving his purse to the parents etc and he expressed regrets.

    I think Kovalev just wanted to knock him out in spectacular fashion...maybe RJJ vs Enzo level.

    Not really a psychopath. More like a sociopath.

    At the same time, people have to realize that Kovalev wasn't going to forgive someone for calling him a racist. If someone called me that and I wasn't racist, I wouldn't forgive them either.

    Kovalev was born on April 2nd he's as Aries as Aries can get, and say whatever you want about the legitimacy of it (all the fortune telling stuff is bull****, I think there's a logical environmental explantion), the reality is most people who are certain signs, act a certain way, if you don't believe it check the personality traits of your own sign and compare it to yourself.

    I know this because most constantly point out these same qualities in me (I was born 3 days before the Krusher) as well.:oops:

    Here's Kovalev's Personality traits, now tell me are they not spot on? GGG is an Aries as well has them to, he just hides them better.

    Psychopath:
    a person suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior.

    Sociopath:
    a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

    Kovalev has a wife and a family. He's very much a functioning member of society. Many Wall Street bankers are said to have a sociopathic personality, that's why they can do what they do.

    When Kovalev's inside the ring, he lacks empathy, and he wants to hurt the other guy. But he doesn't attack people or get into fights with people outside the ring.

    He doesn't really care for arrogant people or trash talkers or his opponent's disrespecting him, his country, his people. It's the place he comes from. He said you don't walk around with a big head acting like that where he comes from and if you do you get put in place very quickly. If he feels you cross the line with him that's what happens. He's always respectful about his opponents but if they talk a lot of trash or disrespect him that respect goes out the window. And if he feels like you've overstepped the mark too much he's as mean as hell.

    Psychopath is quite an unclear term. It really manifests on more of a 'scale'. I believe he would be high on the psychopathic scale but the only thing that makes me doubt he is extremely high is two things:
    1. He paid for the funeral of Simakov who died fighting Kovalev
    2. He is friends with Lomachenko...this counts for something, right?

    His repeated racial slurs, his being a boxer does point towards an 'impulsive' nature, though. He isn't a sociopath, they're loose cannons.

    I think we need to understand that Kovalev is a true alpha male. If you respect him, he will respect you. If you disrespect him, you'll never get back on his good side again.

    Kovalev is friends with Hopkins, because they're both alphas. They understand each other. An alpha never disrespects another alpha. Hopkins didn't disrespect Kovalev and likewise. Kovalev sees Pascal and Stevenson as betas, so he looks down on them. He looks down on Stevenson for not fighting him, and he looks down on Pascal for talking so much racists trash and not accepting defeat gracefully.

    If you want Kovalev to respect you, act like a man.
