But what if he does look like that to people. They can't say that? If you are having a word of wars with someone and take race out of it for a minute and they are say kind of ugly or look like a mouse or are effeminate - you're going to leave those insults out? If he said to Stevenson you look like a ****** like all of yall do (which I think people don't think), or if he said I'll never lose to a black guy, then yeah I'd agree with you. Especially if he on top of that he also seem to shun certain people. And even without that.

Honestly, I didn't like that he said that cause it upsets people who are sensitive and I think he could be more mature in his insults and stick to insulting a fighters skill level, call him a coward etc. But I also don't think he is necessarily a racist esp given his general behavior.

So let me ask you. If you think a black person looks exactly like a chimp, would you go up to him with a picture of a chimp and say hey you look like this? You'd get your ass kicked, and no it's not the same thing as just insulting him. If you go up to ablack person and say you're an idiot, or re**** etc, they won't react the same way as being compared to a chimp. Kovalev is not re****ed, and this isn't the 1800's where you can get away with comparing a black man to a chimp. Just like if Kovalev started making racist remarks against one Mexican, but then accepts others. You seem to have a lot of anger as indicated by your repeated bringing up of say it to my face type comments and how a person would get their ass kicked. First of all, why would anyone say it in the first place? It's mean and insulting. You don't go up to people and say their ugly (if they are to begin with) or whatever insult for no reason unless you are a jerk or sociopathic or crazy.

What we are talking about here is in the context of a fight and meant to be insulting. And in my view it seemed more about the individual persons looks not their race. You seem to be reacting from a different perspective and belief about looks/race.

Hopkins can say he wouldn't lose to a white boy and its all good. The fallout if reversed.

 

Yes it is mean and insulting but that's not why you or anyone else would get their ass kicked. The main reason would be simple you made a racist remark. If you go up to a black person who looks like a bird, you won't get the same kind of reaction. Ok let's say you're getting into an argument with a black person, and you want to offend them, do you think you will get teh same reaction if you tell them to go fk themselves and comparing them to a chimp? Comparing a black person to a chimp is basically the lowest you can go, and Kovalev is perfectly aware of that.
