Well what I've read is that his manager says the words from 2013 were misunderstood and mistranslated and not meant in a "racist' way but in a Russian context. John Davidson his current trainer says Kovalev isn't racist and if he was he wouldn't be with him. I think personally you are too sensitive.

True, Hopkins gets flack for it from some, but imagine it happened the other way?

I find it hilarious how you say I'm too sensitive about the matter, but then you bring up something that happened a decade ago, and you're going on about how if it was a white person said something like that it would have been far worse . Like I said, what Kovalev did was far worse. If Kovalev said I'll never lose to a black person, to me at least it would not even be comparable to him comparing a black person to a chimp. That is literally the ultimate low besides maybe calling a black person a straight up n word.

I like Hopkins. I didn't like that he said that and I think it was racist but he he did lose soon after so he kind of got made out to be wrong, lol. But he is a crafty great fighter. I'm just pointing this out as an example of a racist type statement in that it specifcally involved race. What Kovalev said was insulting someones looks and is different. Also, I think the fallout would have looked markedly different had it been reversed in the Hopkins case.

 

You keep repeating that, and I explained this all to you already. Somehow you're convinced that Kovalev is extremely oblivious, and lives under a rock. That's your excuse, ignorance, and of course you have another excuse for the other incident. Your desperation to defend him and act like what Hopkins did was worse makes me think that you're clearly projecting and have your own deep-seated issues about black people. Also the statement I highlighted. What was the point of writing that .

How many times do I have to explain this to you. If Kovalev called Stevenson a pig or ugly I wouldn't equate that to him being racist.
