I don't Kovalev would fight this guy with the intention of knocking him out right away. Kovalev has a great deal of amateur experience, so I would expect him to feel Stevenson out before putting on pressure. Yes, Suhosky looked terrible. I mean, he looked so bad, that I question how it's possible he could be a professional boxer. Forget Showtime, how could this guy be a professional boxer? That shlt was terrible. That's why they put this shlt on Friday instead of Saturday. I didn't even know there was a fight tonight. Anyway, as I was saying, you always have to respect Steven's power. I think Kovalev would respect his power.
Before I thought Stevenson was in with a chance, up until recently even a very good one. Now I'm 100% sure Kovalev destroys this dude in an epic fashion.
The more I see of Stevenson the less impressed I become. At this point I would make Kovalev a huge favorite. The guy in the ring with him tonight had club level skills and zero power. What garbage has showtime been selling lately? Fight after fight of just showcasing the house guy.
I'm not sure what the **** was that jab/hook he was throwing, no snap at all, it was like he was just lazily flinging his arm around, woeful.
Absolutely. That was a pitiful matchup for a main event. The sad part is it's been going on for months with showtime.
Showtime/Haymon seem to have had a thing toward the last half of this year where they're experimenting to see just how much drawing power their Haymon guys have by throwing them in with guys nobody wants to see. I really think that's what's going on. There's no other explanation for putting on such sh*t fights.
Well come 2015 I won't be watching them. I am tempted to watch Wilder vs Stiverne feels nostalgic to see Don King back in the mix lol. But I think I will stay away. I can't sit here on wkends watching garbage. Mayweather vs Kahn or Pacquaio. Stevenson vs Kovalev Stiverne vs Wlad. Quillan vs Triple G. Wilder vs Any Top Ten opponent. Otherwise count me out. Charlo bros too need real fights.
