John David jackson is a weird guy. He did an interview recently where he claimed he could have beaten GGG at MW and he also claimed CW Isiah Thomas "beat up" Kovalev in sparring. I have also heard Jackson claimed he is manic depressive and he tells Kovalev to not talk to him at certain times.

Yet he always comes across like he is the one doing Kovalev the favor training him. I am seriously starting to think this is just a relationship of convenience where Jackson is getting financially rewarded and more known as a trainer exclusively through working with Kovalev.

I am not suprised Kovalev brough one of his old Russian trainers into his camp. I also feel that if Kovalev had a loss or two and was not making Jackson as much money he would have stopped training him after the incident with Stevenson.
