What's the use of filming him train, we wouldn't see the person he's training with anyway... because, his name is.... John Cena!

    I'll see myself out.

SK needs to focus more on trying to maul Ward instead of attempting to nullify his cagey tactics with holding and/or attempting to mimic Wards strategy. In the first fight he looked awkward in the middle rounds trying it and it ultimately hurt him in the scorecards. Also I'm sure he will adjust with a wider overhand right to counter Wards shotgun jab to the head and a short check left hook to counter the chest and body jabs. If he can be consistent with this he can win a wide UD or best case scenario catch Ward with a big shot and stop him.

I don't envision kovalev beating Ward if he can't make some major adjustments immediately in the ring. Of course Ward will be impeccably prepared for SK especially after experiencing and retaining knowledge of the first fight. It will be the ultimate test of Wards apperception put to work and a testament to his knowledge crescendo or it can be Sergey's chance to capitalize on what he started in the beginning rounds of the first bout.

i remember seeing a Kovalev interview before the first fight, and i specifically recall him saying that he had no strategy for fighting Andre Ward. he was just going to fight him like he does everyone else. hopefully he has a plan this time around.

I don't know why Kovalev is practicing all of those body shots. He's certainly not going to use them. hehe.

There is NO way Kovalev will leave this to a UD ...if does he deserves to lose...he knows from bitter experience that Wards team are scumbag operators so it has to be the finale for Ward...Kovalaev has said as much, he wants to end his career!

Kovalev was doing well with body shots in the first fight til he decided to abandon them in the second half.

I like how Kov's right hand barely moves from his chin when he throws the jab and throes the right from his jaw. Good stuff! Can't wait for the rematch. Should be better than the first.

I believe the strategy was to not allow Ward to dictate the pace and keep the fight at a comfortable range unless forced to fight inside

In all honesty, I think the fight will come down to who can make the adjusments on the fly better. In the first fight Kov almost got Ward out of there before Ward could adjust, he fell short and Ward made the adjustment and fought his way back into contention. Kov needs to find a way to time Ward better. He needs to use the jab a lot more and work the body. Ward needs to not get caught by staying in the pocket and trading. He also needs to work the body early and often. Wear Kov down and hope he has the stamina to out work Kov the last 4 rounds of the fight. Because of his ability to adapt better I feel Ward will pull out the win. At this level, the little details start making a big difference and Wards ability to adapt gives him a very slight edge.

Kovalev certainly have great punch technique. Still not sure he can beat somebody as slick as ward. It's gonna be a battle of distance. It will be close again.
