I'm not much for conspiracy theories so I'll stay away from talk pertaining to corrupt judging. Regardless of your opions towards Wards team I don't think there's any denying of Wards supreme boxing brain. If kovalev has no plan b and can't KO Ward if will eventually lose his grip and allow Ward to dictate the fight story. Unfortunately for the fans when a boxing match doesn't resemble a rockem-sockem robot fight it leaves the decision up for interpretation by the judges. If I'm a judge knowing what a kovalev fight resembles and what a Ward fight resembles if it's a close match involving them I'm going to lean towards the fighter that painted the empty canvas....who should have signed the painting for the first fight did it look like a Ward type of fight or did it resemble a normal kovalev fight?

 

I hope it isn't another controversial decision, but I really don't see either one of them dominating the other to the point it will be a clear cut victory.

 

When fighting a guy like kovalev it's all about controlling the real estate if you can't disrupt his rhythm and stay out or deep inside his power range your screwed.

I noticed Spence implemented a similar managing of distance after eating to many counters from Brook last week. I thought that was the most impressive adjustment Spence made and it allowed him to unleash effective shots while in his wheel house.

 

I agree, kov will always be strong early. We will see if ward can impose his style early. If yes, kov has to dig deep or else ward will pull away.

 

Ward is not as athletic as spence nor he has the youth. When he can't impose his style he will slowly chipping and mauling and get what ever he can and make the fight ugly. Spence I think is amazing. Those body shots up close are brutals and he throw abundance with bad intention. He is quite old school in that regards.

 

This is what happens when 2 top fighters go at it. Can't wait!

 

Harold Lederman had the fight 116 -111 Kovalev, even Roid Jones and Max had Kovalev winning the fight and they wanted SOB to win. Yes, SOB keeps his nose up into the air, he is a prima donna, and damned cheat. SOB refused to fight unless he got to pick the judges and referee, don't venue..................SOB had the nerve to say that neutral judges would be unfair, yes they would, SOB would have lost the fight with neutral judges....................Kovalev won the fight and the fans poll says it, also the boxing writers as well, even Void Mayweather said that SOB lost the fight..................where are all those Mayweather fans at now? He said SOB lost the fight!

In fact Ward wants the fighters to have a say. He says ONLY Americans. Period
If both promoters would've went to the comission and asked for judges and ref from anywhere on the globe except USA and Russia, wouldn't that mean its being left to chance ? Yes of course, even more so than just americans ONLY like Wards wants it.

Bu thats that, and why Ward doesnt want that its something I dont understand. It dont mean Kovalev choses them, hell no, its still the same people picking the judges.

 

Look all.over the net. You will find. Of course you wont find any quotes from Roc Nation only from Main Events. So I dont know what kind of proof you want. I hope I'm understanding OK and you're denying that Ward said NO to neutral judges, meaning ONLY Americans can judge this fight. And thats what happend ! From which country are ALL 3 judges ? US of A. The comission can't pick neutral judges if the promoters dissagree. They are paying for the fight. So, SOG is allowed to say NO, but his motives are shady, and he doesnt want less controversy if it goes to a decision. He could win an even more one sided UD, with judges from neutral countries too. Whats he afraid of ?

Now, I'm not gonna start to tell you why Kovalev and Main Events wanted for the rematch ( they didnt say anything before the 1st ) that US judges are be to overlooked
