Sergey Kovalev to work with Buddy McGirt as his new trainer?

Kovey looks in pretty good shape already, so there is that. Buddy has a reputation as a defense-oriented trainer though, may be a little late. I can't belive he hosed that Russian guy after one fight though, hadn't they known each other forever or something?

Although to be perfectly honest, he kind of looked like **** other than that one big combo.

 

I don't know about Ola, Comrade, but you hit it on the head with me. Kovey made me take my Nadjib Mohamedi and Cornelius White posters, and put my autographed photo of Lionell Thompson for sale on ebay

 

Definitely a very exaggerated or outright false statement incoming, buuut:

Kovalev is weak and you must be too cause you booted. He folded like a cheap suit under Alverez 's right hand and bent over like he was taking a dump when Ward was digging in them guts. He hasn't beaten anybody but one ole man and a bunch of near do wells. Nothing special about Kovalev. Every time he steps up, he gets dropped. lol.

 

He shoulda' signed up with Virgil Hunter; the only other guy that knows as well what Sergei's missing is Andre Ward and I don't think he seriously trains people...yet.

 

They need to look at every round. there was a lot Kovalev did wrong the entire fight. If Kovalev as told he was krushing him until a lucky punch and fights the same, he'll either win by KO early or the same thing happens again. Alvarez was jabbing and timing rights he landed a lot of rights. each one did more damage.

Kovalev looked fine in his last fight. Just got caught by a big punch from another great fighter.

 

Like who. Andre SOG kicked his arse and Alvarez put him out

 

Kovalev would never let a women ,or a he/she train him.
