    That was kinda the point I was making in a jokey way, punch stats aren't really worth the paper they're written on and can NEVER be proof. It was a close fight, a decision either way wouldn't have been a robbery, imho

    As many have stated, it was a close fight but I can see why some are angry since one guy did knock the other one down. Usually in close matches, the KD's are what swings the match into one fighter's direction.

    For me, I think it just depends on how many rounds people think Ward won during the first half of the fight. Some of those rounds (i.e. round 3, 4 and either 5 or 6,) were all quite close but I personally ended up giving 3 of those to Ward.

    Most of the rounds outside of the 1st two were very close. These 2 men were evenly matched on that night although I will say if Kovalev works on his stamina/conditioning issues for the rematch, I'd actually favor him. It was shocking to see him gas out in the manner he did in the back half of the fight. He also put on a disappointing performance during the championship rounds outside of the 10th. Sergey could've easily won that match if his stamina was where it should've been.

    I thought Kovalev won it the things he needs to do differently for the rematch is get his cardio better so he doesn't slow down in the later rounds and he also needs to cut the ring off a little better and not allow Ward to tie him up as much by using his jab twice a much as he did in the first fight. If he does these things he will eliminate any doubt.

    1) I am not intending to change the RIGGED OFFICIAL DECISION. I just want people to know what's what, plus this is a good theme for conversation between real boxing fans.
    2) You, sir, are not a fight fan, nor you a boxing fan. You are a BIASED FANBOY of boxers with "certain" skin colour if you know what I'm saying. That's clear because of your unwillingness to tell the truth and to hear the truth even when the truth is obvious.
    3) You know nothing about boxing, sir. You are just a casual, biased guy on a boxing forum.
    4) 90% of guys who AFTER THE FIGHT were still saying, still lying that Ward was better than Kovalev are general black public who don't care about boxing as a sport, they only care that a black guy formally won even though he got beat convincingly. Only real black fight fans admitted that WARD CLEARLY LOST AND KOVALEV WAS ROBBED.
