I really hope this fight happens for November

Kovalev brute power against Wards boxing skills

I just can't see Ward taking a shot from Kovalev

Kovalev will stop him around round 8

Winner of this will seriously have a claim to being p4p king

    Great fight!:yep

We have to see if it's a good fight, or if it happens at all.

I expect Ward to outpoint Barrera when they meet, but he has to convincingly beat him to take the step up to Kovalev and have a chance to win.
If he only s****es by, or has any problems with Sullivan's power, then there won't be many people that expect him to beat "the man".

It is the fight people are waiting for, but highly unlikely it will happen in 2016. However, whenever it happens it should prove to be well worth waiting for.
Perhaps in the meantime Ward may meet and dispatch the lightweight Beterbiev first.

It's not gonna happen. Barrera is gonna KO Ward.

Beterbiev might actually be "the man" indeed, how he handled that bunch of pretenders (former beltholders), but he has a lot to prove first.
Haven't seen much of Gvozdyk yet.

I haven't seen Ward VOLUNTEER for any dangerous fights in his entire career.

He ducked the only true threat at 168, Lucian Bute, and his entire S5 run was in his backyard and the fights were imposed on him.

His best win, Froch, was a styles clash that Ward had the upper hand in.

Kovalev is the far superior boxer, has the greater size and reach, and probably hits twice as hard, with the only asset of Froch being better than Kovalev, being his non-stop punching when in position.

Kovalev would steamroll Ward, everyone knows it, including Ward, and he will mysteriously bow out.

    What's new. :-:)-:)-(

Does Kovalev have a better chin than Froch?

Probably not .... but then again between Froch's ability to take a punch and ability to recover and grit his teeth there aren't many who do.

I still think that Ward wins this fight. His ability to fight inside, punch on the fly and avoid whats coming back should see him through. I reckon he gets at least one flash knockdown and outpoints Kovalev in a dirty as **** fight that is debated for a good while after.

    Thanks.

That's the closest demonstration of how an Ameba thinks that I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
Of course an Ameba wouldn't understand that a fighter fights those his manager and promoter puts in front of him and this justifies his promoter/manager's cut of his purse.
It may be far fetched but I'd bet this is how Ward faced opponents in the Olympics and the Super 6.

First thing you're told in the US Army is never volunteer for anything, so why should a boxer be any different.

Yes he does. Kovalev would never get dropped by a middleweight Jermain Taylor.

Especially when David Jackson still retains the Mysterious & Magical Medically Marked Dark Blue water bottle in his possession. :hey
