Sergey Kovalev vs Artur Mann is set for April 19th

OK, this actually warms my heart. I was genuinely concerned that he wanted to just continue on for as long as possible.

WAR Kovalev!

 

I was relieved to see that he's doing one farewell fight in his hometown. Kovalev deserves to retire on a high note and not taking any more damage from boxing. It was a fun ride watching him fight but it's finally time for him to hang them up.

 

Kovalev was my guy in the 2010s.. always pumped for his fights.. Bivols a great boxer but Kovalev just had that extra zing on his shots.. was brilliant to watch.. shame we never got the Stevenson fight but all in all an excellent career full of ups & downs.. I kind of put Kovalev in the same bracket as Fighters like Sergio Martinez..

 

Glad to hear it’s a retirement fight. I just remember him fighting cleverly and cleverly being carried back to his corner by the ref lol!!!!

 

Only if you have judges and refs on your side which every American always does because they're too scared to ever fight outside their home while demanding every foreign fighter fight on their backyard.

 

It’s called prize fighting hence you fight where you get the biggest purses.
