Before I make up my mind, can someone tell me how much wrestling or MMA experience Kovalev has?

We'll Trinidad's punching power was incredible, at 147. This guy is a big lhw. He is seemingly stronger than Tarver, Dawson, or Pascal. It's not really the same thing, at all.

This is so true. Every time I tell myself to never, ever bet against Hopkins - and yet here I am again...smh.

This guy is tailor made for Hopkins. Hopkins wins a wide UD. Kovalev does have a punchers chance though.

I am not a fan of bhop but I think there is a reason why he decided to fight kov before superman, I think he sees a weakness in his game. Besides I have learned a longtime ago not to count the old man out.

    Interesting times for sure.

“We really thought we were going to go into a fight with Bernard Hopkins, but he was too greedy,” Stevenson’s promoter Yvon Michel told TVA Sports. Michel stated that Hopkins wanted nearly 75% of the money offered by Showtime.

It's about the money. Hopkins will hold, headbutt, fall down on the canvas claiming an injury like against Dawson, claim he was hit by a low blow while throwing low blows himself, using elbows, etc. Hopkins can get away with breaking the rules of boxing..................Kovalov can box, has good defense, has huge power, lands a lot of body shots which is his best chance against Hopkins...........................the referee will be on Hopkins' side, but it might not matter..............

If Hopkins is unable to perform as he used to, has clearly slowed down, can't rely on movement anymore and is forced to be flat footed in there then Kovalev could stop him. However, if Hopkins can perform as he used to he's going to make yet another example out of Kovalev(as he did superior, proven and better aggressive fighters) that fans will still overlook, forget and discredit him for.

If Hopkins is able to withstand the rage of Kovalev in the first 4 rounds, he will win by UD. Kovalev has never really been tested on stamina, so if the come to the later stages, Hopkins will dominate him.

Give Hopkins credit for fighting Kov but surely the way to beat Hopkins is with pressure. I know i'm making it sound easy but a 50 yr old cannot keep up the same pace as a 30 yr old. Err.....
