Momentum is with Alvarez, Kovalev is all over the place with trainers etc & he's not getting any younger... 3 recent losses* too so he's obviously not in the greatest of places. 2014 Kovalev would have beaten Alvarez, 2019? Unlikely...

They say all great fighter's have one last great performance in them but my confidence in Kovalev isn't high. I think this may be the last time we see him if he loses...

    You never know though.

Got to be Alvarez i think. Kovalev is getting less durable and less fitter.

Kovalev can win but he has to box a very strict game plan and not blow himself out. At 35 making drastic changes can be hard so I'm favouring Alvarez but we have two punchers in there, if Kovalev connects hard enough he can take Alvarez out as well. Good rematch but all the pressure is on Kovalev.

I thought Alvarez showed to be a step ahead in the first fight and will get it done again by stoppage in the rematch

Kovalev was far too easy to hit

Alvarez is the favorite, but Kovalev is a live underdog. Having said that I wouldn't be surprised if Alvarez gets rid of him very quickly.

Kovalev claims through duva that he over trained his entire career for fights. and will take a light training camp this time. first time around I didn't see it as the beat down by Kovalev then a lucky punch as a lot. I saw 3 to 3 fight or 4-2 Kovalev with Kovalev throwing so many punches just to land the same amount of shots as alvarez. I think Kovalev needs a ko within the first 4 rounds to win. taking alavrez.

Interesting, I am in the minority on this one. I see Kov winning via UD. I think he got sloppy in the first one and at his age he can't afford to get sloppy. If he focuses and boxes to his capabilities he should take the rematch.

The rematch will prove if he is damaged goods or not. He may be.

Krusher is finished. Ward ended him. The beating he took in the second fight took his soul. It's over. Id like to see him retire for his own good. he's a champion with a great career with nothing to prove to anyone.

    Kovalev is on the slide
Shot almost as said the second ward fight and the Courption in America with refs judges scorecards etc have mentally broke the guy

That might be right. He stays in good shape. But the loss to Ward in the first fight I think took something out of him psychologically. The same can be said for GGG against Canelo. It has to get really old to lose these types of fights to hometown fighters, especially when you have such a stellar record going in. In his KO loss to Alvarez he almost appeared not to care, like he wasn't all there.

Imagine being the best at your job, and the boss decides to terminate your employment in favor of the more incompetent employee, now you are mentally disturbed wondering why this happened, and you quietly lose the passion you once had because it doesnt matter if youre good or not.

Same result as the first fight, with a possibility of early Stoppage by Eleider
