Why? Of course the topic is asinine as are all these trans-epic match-ups. But why would it be a blow out as you suggest? Gibbons went the route. Carpentier, a much less accomplished boxer, halted Jack in his tracks. Brennan, a perrenial loser, almost upset the apple cart. Kovalev is a damn good boxer and packs real power. As far as size, outside of reach, Kovalev is the same size if not bigger given the lack of weight restriction in the heavyweight class. I'm certainly not saying Sergey is a favorite but your dismissal is sadly and predictably ill-informed given Dempsey's actual record.
Only you are ill informed. We are talking best Dempsey. Dempsey at his best. Kovalov is an untested LT heavyweight. Untested. You do not know how he will even react when hit on the chin. You don't even know if he can take a punch. Yet you want to jump to the conclusion that an untested LT heavy who has never had a tough bout is going to give one of the greatest possibly hardest punching highly talented ATG hwt champions in his prime a tough fight. You and your agenda can find another thread to play your games within.
Dempsey was skin, fibre and bone at 190. At 175 he would look a squeleton . he is bigger than kovalev in frame.jack destroys him. Bigger, faster, stronger and hits harder
I would say Dempsey is bigger but not by a huge amount, Kovalevs fight night weight is usually somewhere between 183-189 I think this ones better to be asked when Kovalevs career is over and we can look back at everything
