Sergey Kovalev vs Marcus Browne possible fight

Browne refused to face Gvozdyk or Bivol, but apparently is happy to face Kovalev. I guess there's more money there and more potential reward if he wins (which he won't).

 

I say this since Browne is about to become the mandatory challenget for the IBF belt as it was reported this week by a reporter over here. It seems that a purse bid is scheduled in the next couple of days.

 

No the journalists did a poor job reporting it.
They think just because fighter A is mandatory to fighter B they want to fight each other and are negotiating.

Browne pulled out of WBC eliminator with Gvozdyk and he will pull out of IBF purse bids too.

 

Browne is currently #3 for the IBF but they will make him mandatory. I’ll trust that journalist since she is usually spot on. We’ll see but you may be right about him pulling out of the purse bid!
