It's now a done deal and it will be televised by HBO.

The exact date is not yet set, possibly it will happen on June 23.

I think Browne has a good chance to beat Kovalev.

    Perhaps.

Browne does a lot of illegal holding and grappling like Andre Ward, and he has had favorable treatment by judges and referees in the past. Does he also hit his opponents in the gonads?

    It's definitely an interesting matchup.

Browne looked good in his last couple, but before he got this type of fight I would like to have seen the rematch with Hotrod to see how much he's really improved. Could be a good fight.

If Browne can take the punch he's got a good shot, if not he gets knocked out mid rounds.

Darn Ward did indeed cause a lot of butthurt.

Does anyone give Browne a chance at the upset ? Is he a good body puncher ?

He'll need to get close to the Krusher....without getting KTFO

Kovalev is too slick of a boxer-puncher. Browne gets KO'd
    Hot-Rod laid the blueprint

    Legal punches? Yes.

But as we saw in Kovalev-Ward II, he can be hurt by illegal punches to the genitalia.

I would be surprised if Browne sees the 2nd half of the fight.

Actually wanted Beterbiev to get the fight and do a number on him. Good luck trying to clinch that guy.

Browne is a fringe contender really. He looks almost exactly like he did as an amateur, hasn't improved much, but...Sergey is 35. It's a good matchup for both guys. Kovalev gets to fight an American who can hype the fight, Browne gets to get his title shot over a guy much older.
