    No, I mean he punched him in the jaw, and made him do the stanky leg. That shot had nothing to do with Kovalev's weak torso.

    Browne is tailor made for the style & attributes of a Kovalev. But hey, it's a semi decent scalp.

    Hot Rod goes down after twisting his ankle and no punch by Browne has landed, Browne then proceeds to punch Hot Rod while he's on the canvas and then he instinctively grabs a hold of him to prevent any kind of retaliation from Hot Rod because that's the kind of guy he is and because excessive holding is second nature to him. Then instead of punishing Browne for hitting a downed foe the ref decides to call a KD against Hot Rod and proceeds to allow Browne to hold onto Hot Rod all night like a gay octopus and when Brown goes down x 2 later in the fight which if they weren't legitimate KDs they were certainly way way closer to being so than the one the ref counted for Browne he ignores them. And the judges rob Hot Rod of a win and Browne refuses to give him a rematch, acting like a complete douche during the post-fight presser.

    And then in his very next outing Browne again cracks his downed opponent.

    Well, a guy might figuratively say 'I was floored by the ending of that movie', but, in a boxing context, I've always thought the term's use to denote a guy being knocked down was universal. Semantics aside, however, I appreciate your clarification and I can agree with you - Sergey was definitely rocked by that punch. It's interesting, too, because Ward's right hand had been generally dismissed as any kind of threat for several years.

    Well, to be fair, he's got a point. Kovalev should be regarded as a distinct favorite here.

    Ward had problems with the right shoulder for years. He had surgery on it a few years back.
    And like Paulie said, Ward put everything on that right hand. He threw his entire body into that punch and it landed perfectly.
    Had Ward been as big of a puncher as Kovalev... man, lights out. Just proves that while Ward is not a big puncher, he has enough to take your legs away.

    Sink or swim time for Browne easily his biggest pay day. Kovalev obviously the favourite we will see what Browne's chin is like. I still like Kovalev to stop Browne not sure which round but Kovalev by decision wouldn't surprise me either.
