You definitely need to go back and read the majority of threads and posts about him on here.

No ****. He was walking on water for a while there. Even I traveled on that train for a bit.

Kov should've retired after cashing out against the ginger toad as he's clearly got a massive drink problem and serious turmoil in his personal life, has been way past his best for years, and both his power and chin are greatly diminished. Barrera doesn't have the best set of whiskers himself and is way past his best. However, he's a big LHW and he can punch so he's more than capable of sparking out this shell of Kovalev who is coming in at SMW fight night range these days. Prime Kov ices him in 2 or 3 rounds.

Idiot boxing fans don't understand that athletes deteriorate with time. Kovalev was unstoppable in the usual prime of athletes. He took his first genuine loss when he was 34 years old, and even that was controversial. The idea he was overrated because he lost at middle-age is the narrative of an imbecile. It's the same narrative used with GGG too of course, because it's the same group pushing the agenda.

After the Ward fights, Ward retired, because he was now middle-aged and was scared of losing, yet he is a year younger than Kovalev. Degale retired at 33, Groves at 31, both mentally/physically war torn. Age matters. The fact HWs can have extended careers and Manny Pac is a freak of nature and likely PED enhanced doesn't change that. Kovalev is no longer crushing not because he was 'exposed' but because he continued on when many have retired. It's no surprise he went on to lost twice more and almost got KO'd by Yarde.

I don't see the point of such a close catchweight if he's trying to go to cruiser. The cruiser idea seems completely insane, but interesting too. If Kovalev is going to be a trainwreck from here on out, why not go all the way I guess.

If anyone thought he was elite outside of his rather short prime then they're cuckoo. After Eleider I thought it was clear he was ready for anyone world class to pick apart.

A real "loser goes home" sort of fight.

Its last chance saloon for both these guys.

That’s 7 weeks away, didn’t kovalev complain about his short camp vs canelo? You guys are ignoramuses if you think he can win this one...remember?

Kovalev gets knocked out again. His punch resistance has been gone for some time now.

He was viewed an outright God between 2013-2018.

Seems like at the very least half of posters referred to him as an ATG in the making.

The majority viewed him as a HOF'er who was one of the best P4P of his era.

    That is the reality.

Seems like Diego De La Hoya is ALWAYS fighting. Shakur Stevenson, Devan Haney, Davis, and Santa Cruz need to do the same.

Barrera seems like a smart option for Kovalev. He isn't much of a puncher and will get easily outboxed by even this version of Krusher.
TKO between 7 and 10 with Kovalev winning each and every round.
