Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Barrera blows him out in the 1st round.

Kova didn't forget to throw his power punch, he was just against a smaller faster fighter who is a master at counters, every time he tried Canelo counter the hell out of him beat him to the punch.

It made no sense Kovalev not throwing his right hand, but boxing is dying of corruption, and I need to accept it or get hurt.

Maybe he is at the point where he genuinely loses all these fights, past and future, without any conspiracies?

    Just a thought.

If you believe in the conspiracies then he definitely wins this. To me I'm sort of on the fence but leaning toward a Kovalev W. He just doesn't have the gas tank and everyone knows and can plan for it.

And you can´t really throw with conviction if your gas tank is shot to bits.

He didn't forget ****, he got scared so stopped throwing his money shots because everytime he did, Canelo would make him miss and counter the fuq out of him with huge overhands, hooks.......... He was just blasting away. I could tell by the 2nd round Kova was getting blitzed due to the way he was reacting to those shots.

Never have I seen a fighter - off the top of my head - who lost so much of their punch resistance in so short a time.

That was a main difference between a prime Kovalev and the modern one - fear. He never gave two ****'s what any opponent t of his was doing or throwing, he had a ton of confidence in his ability to take a shot/s and he had the speed and reflexes to make would-be KO shots miss somewhere between altogether or just enough. The current Kovalev has lost all of that, and plenty of his offensive arsenal, especially punching power.

I always liked Sullivan Barrera since back in the day he beat Chad Dawson in the Jr Olympics title fight. In his prime and at his best he was a very skilled boxer and had a great brain for boxing. I ****ing hate watching this version repeatedly get taken to the woodshed by fighters that never could have held his jock when he was prime.

How could his confidence just disappear when he knocked out his previous opponent with just a power jab?
