Barrera is jabbing and moving fluidly clockwise. Valera is staying in a high & tight posture, rigid, throwing heavy jabs and crosses while keeping an invisible steel rod in his spine. Barrera is caught and dropped by a HUGE left hook that he wasn't expecting and didn't see coming after Valera had just dug a left hook on the body and was rising up again with Barrera partially twisted away. Damn. Valera can bang. They swap jabs as Barrera recovers and shakes the cobwebs. At the bell a grazing right dropped from high clips Valera and makes his glove touch down on the canvas, and he is given a count as well.

When both fighters score a knockdown, you pick whose knockdown was harder/realer (or who dominated the round if both KDs were legit) and give it to him 10-9.

 

Valera is HILARIOUS

 

Round 2

Barrera is coming in and stretching the jab up high. Valera is catching the jab and dipping at the knees to spring in with hooks on the belly. Valera starts to drop his arms, shimmy, then shoot both arms out in a double-punch and baits his opponent with a little dance, showboating. Valera then covers up as Barrera starts to pick him off with the jab moving in and out. Barrera has a cut by his eye.
