    Can't fault that.

Shabranskyy's no yardstick for the likes of Bivol, Gvozdyk and Beterbiev but at least there's no sign of a dramatic drop-off after the last Ward fight.

Shabranskyy might be relatively basic but had enough about him to cause problems if Kov hadn't squared away the stoppage loss. It feels righteous seeing him back in destructive form.

I really hope to read a headline about Sergey leaving that POS face first out cold in a parking lot real soon after having had to defend himself from Mr Manic Depressive.

“Sergey just don’t talk to me when I go quiet ok? Just keep doin what you’re doin. I’ll be over here ****ing around with my phone.”

I was impressed by Kovalev's tactics!! He was going to the body a lot!! so Shabransky would lower his left hand. and that's essentially what set up the huge right hands.

Props to Krusher's new trainer. they really had a plan in there, you could totally tell everything was extremely thought out.

Yeah, I really hope we see Gvozdyk-Beterbiev before either gets a crack at Kovalev. Because Gvozdyk I think can outbox Beterbiev but not Kovalev. Beterbiev would have a better chance against Kovalev than Gvozdyk would. Though I don't think he'll be able to do it too consistently enough against him to win, Beterbiev can fight on the inside with short punches that Kovalev isn't too adept at avoiding.

No there wasn't a Kovalev downfall. He was just beaten by a better man in Ward.

He definitely double crossed Sergey and fed information to Ward and Virg. That's some real dirty lowdown snake BS

Im glad I read these last few pages to see all the Ward haters still complaining. I estimate by tomorrow there will be a dozen more pathetic trash posts about Andre Ward, how hard done by Kovalev is and how Kovalev would smash Ward if they fought again :crybaby2::risas3:

Just watched this through again. God what a death-wish of a performance by Shabransky. That he landed that right hand was his downfall, because it gave him a false sense of confidence. He should've boxed, boxed, boxed, at least tried to pull an Agnew and delay the inevitable beating as long as he can. Brave and let us see Kovalev at his destructive best, but so stupid.

I just watched the fight. Kovalev is way overrated.
