    Gamboa is coming forward and opening up on Sosa now, making a stand with straight-ahead jabs between the eyes followed by right crosses to keep Sosa honest and then digging in hard with the left hook on the hip. Sosa collects punches in bunches on his goal posts stepping forward and can't get a blow in edge-wise, countered every time he starts to wind anything up or so much as lurch forward an inch. Gamboa is feeling his oats now, a great deal more comfortable than in the previous couple of frames.

    Harold Lederman has it 38-38, with Gamboa tying it up with the 4th, making a bookend with the 1st around two consecutive rounds for Sosa.

    Have to call the 4th for Gamboa. Sosa letting him throw more and swaying the action with speed. 2-2.

    I still like Sosa as it goes on. For a guy without the long amateur career the HBO guys are raving about, Sosa's footwork and positioning is excellent, while Gamboa often throws before setting himself up.
