Sosa landed the best punch of the 4th, but it was really the only notable one he landed. Clear round for Yuri.

Gamboa looks awfully good for a +235 underdog.

Continued good boxing by Gamboa. Throwing in combination then moving. He's conserving his energy well too. Did he maybe just have a bad style matchup against Castellanos? 3-2 Gamboa.

    Round 5

Gamboa is putting it on Sosa, dribbling jabs & rights off his upper face and ducking into a crouching shell, then moving out of range with lateral movement. Sosa is focusing on body work and coming in headfirst a bit. Gamboa is therefore playing a lot of catch-and-release, timing his clinches so that Sosa can not inflict too much damage with the skull (and mitigating his ability to land downstairs once he gets inside), then spinning out and starting over with his rhythmic symphony of headhunting combos.

    10-9 Gamboa

    49-46 Gamboa

Gamboa had a fairly good round. 3-2 Gamboa.

Sosa is swinging with some mean intentions. Gambao is doing a good job of avoiding it so far. Can he keep it up?

Gamboa looks ragged at points, but he still has enough of the handspeed that made him such a vaunted force circa 2010 to be an effective fighter.
