"Hi, Sergey Kovalev. After your rematch against Eleider Alvarez you regained the WBO title and told the media you wanted a unification fight against me. I immediately agreed and instructed my promoter to contact your team and organize the fight.

"And despite your numerous interviews about your desire to fight me you have not still accepted my invitation. So I am addressing this invitation to you again, but this time personally and publicly. Sergey, let’s put an end to our boxing relationship once and for all! No plausible reason could be given to prevent our fight from happening: a unification title bout is a top priority for any major boxing organization and Top Rank would only welcome such a fight.

"In Russia you were nicknamed ‘Noodles’ and in the US you named yourself 'Krusher.' So which of these nicknames suits you best? It depends on your answer. Our fans are waiting for it. I am waiting for it. The clock is ticking."

Yeah well, Noodles came over here, became a P4P star, an icon, and one of the greatest Light Heavyweights of the modern era, all the while Butterbeaverev has been resting on his laurels, having petty disputes with his handlers, while fighting maybe 3 rounds a year, and regressing more and more with each outing, and getting older and older. Now he's opening his mouth being a tough guy and trying to start some **** when Kovalev is looking like an aging shot fighter, that'll be easy pickings. Hopefully Sergey does accept, and schools this plodding robot thoroughly embarrassing him and after emasculating him, then shatters his pathetic glass jaw to smithereens. The Mother****er.

The origin of this nickname ("Noodles") is unclear, but it seems Kovalev was called like that indeed.
I'll try to figure out why.

So, how Kovalev himself explains it (in his book): "After we had watched 'Once Upon a Time in America', my friends started calling me Noodles, explaining it that we had similar personalities with the main hero. ...".

And there's one more hidden meaning there. In Russian "noodles" also means bull****. I'm sure Beterbiev wanted to play on that string as well.

I believe any version of Beterbiev from 2015 onwards would have chinned Kovalev.

He has wasted too much time though and is probably on the decline himself too.
