The people who saw Ward at the fight in Montreal said he looked huge. 190+ easy! Hulking shoulders. His button up shirt was ready to burst at the neck!

Some good wins. Unfortunatly not great as you would try to lead people to beleive.

Kessler..already schooled by Joe C. A fight in which Ward should have been DQ'd
Abraham..a small MW fighting above his weight class. Already beaten in the tourney.
Froch..already seen him get outboxed several times over before Ward faced him.

The S6 great on paper and in theory. Reality was the tourney went to **** after the first round of fights.

I can comfortably state that both Dirrell and Bute would have been much better wins at the time than those over late sub Allan Green and Abraham.

C'mon Abe is not a super middleweight. He had to go fight bums in Germany after he was beat up in the Super Six. Abe gives others so many opportunities to beat him when he takes his breaks and goes behind his high guard. He is a blown up middleweight.

Abe won a belt at 168 and he wasn't afraid of challenging himself he went into the super 6 to take on the best in the world that's the very definition of daring to be great but instead of applauding his ambition you try and discredit him.

So if the new slogan is "dare to be great" we must revise history and never give credit to ALL fighters who dare not fight above their weight class going forward!

Pbf could have stayed at 135 his whole career and people would have bashed him saying why didn't he move up so many good fighters at 140 or 147 other great fighters did it and moved up why can't pbf? Great fighters move up and take on risks especially if they fight in a dead division or can't get the fights they think they deserve and are being avoided.

But what did Abe do in the Super Six? He beat Taylor another middleweight then he lost every other fight in the tournament.

Calling Taylor a "middleweight" at that point is like the common reference of Tito being a "blown-up welter" despite the fact Tito had had overpowering performances at 154 and 160 prior to facing Hopkins.

I believe Taylor had a fight at 166 against Taylor, and two fights at 168 (including 1 against Froch) before group stage 1 even began.

I think he was a credible super middle at that time until the Abe loss.

I think Andre Ward is a true ATG and he'll further prove that at 175lbs leading to the Kovalev fight. If Kovalev beats Ward, Kovalev is up there with the GOATs at 175lbs, honestly.

People who are saying Kovalev will dominate and KTFO Ward need to understand they're essentially saying Kovalev is one of the best boxers, ever.
