Bute was destroyed by Froch after the Ward fight

Ward made it clear he didn't want anything to do with Bute, instead Bute went to the lion's den and took on a stylistic nightmare in Froch, but was at least willing to travel and step up

had Ward been the one to beat Bute, he could have said with a straight face he cleaned out 168, but instead let his biggest win in Froch take the glory by beating an undefeated titleholder and decided to fight (and miserably lose 3 times) in court to Goosen

I said in his next fight after Ward. :patsch

He didn't clean out the division true, but he proved he was clearly the best in it. And Bute was a joke, always was. Ward lost nothing on his resume by not fighting him.

he lost the opportunity of unifying an entire division

if Bute was such a joke, why didn't Ward pick him apart with even easier ease than Froch did?

Froch's style was all wrong for Bute, Ward, although just as difficult an opponent, if not more, has the style which suits Bute much better, even though I also think Ward would have beaten Bute had he fought him next fight after Froch
