35 year old just knocked sparko out at LHW, who is clearly now over the top and on the slide, should move up in weight.

Only if he is looking to make one or two last cheques before he retires.

I remember watching the Jean Pascal fights with my brother, who was a huge Kov fan, while I liked his style and looked forward to his fights, during the Pascal fights I said to my brother this guy doesn't look comfortable under pressure, like Pascal didn't have many moments but when he would land a couple of shots it completely seemed to disrupt him, in the chilemba fight Kov seemed to struggle with fitness and stamina, and slowly but surely his aura of invincibility unravelled and now that people don't really fear him, they're more willing to take the fight to him. He's not a massive LHW, maybe he struggles to get down to 175, but at CW he's surely just gonna be outsized, outmuscled, outhustled and beat down... Imagine Kov against a Briedis type guy, or Gassiev? Dorticos? Kudryashov would be a fun fight that would probably end early one way or the other, but there aren't any major paydays for him to cash out with, and with Usyk holding all the belts there are no easy marks for a belt, unless the alphabet organisations put some questionable candidates forward when Usyk vacates to move up to heavyweight... Probably best to take on Badou Jack or try to cash out against Stevenson, hopefully go out on a high, and retire

This statement doesn't make sense. If Dortico's couldn't put a dent in a shot Edison Miranda how could he hurt Gassiev, who is much younger and more durable than Miranda. Also. I knew all along that Gassiev, Dorticos, and Briedis were no threat to Usyk and that Usyk would easily win the tournament. My point was that a light heavyweight that wasn't even ranked was easily Dortico's best competition before he fought Gassiev, which says a lot about the competition level at cruiserweight. Just like Lebdev was Gassiev's best competition before the Usyk fight and nobody would argue Lebdev is anywhere close to being in his prime anymore. That said despite cruiserweight being a very weak division it does occasionally produce an elite talent that can prove themselves by becoming heavyweight a champion such as Holyfield and Haye and very good talent that are good enough to be top 10 heavyweights, but not quite good enough to become a heavyweight champion such Cunningham and Huck.

Also, I never said Gassiev didn't have any talent, since he does, but its raw, which Lebdev exposed even before the Usyk fight. Also, Gassiev has power, since he dropped Lebdev, but once Lebdev used angles and took advantage of his better timing and handspeed he easily neutralized Gassiev's power. This is also why I knew Usyk would easily beat Gassiev for the simple fact that Gassiev can't handle effective mobility and handspeed, which are two of Usyk's best attributes and also why he might go on to have a very successful heavyweight career. A lot of top light heavyweights would also easily outbox Gassiev, since they have the timing, effective mobility, and handspeed to do it.

oh yeah, they moved it up 10 more pounds. I guess to compensate for the bigger heavyweights which is tougher for Kovalev.. He is not a mover, so I don't see how moving up helps him.
