Yea, arent there any good or at least decent North American LHW's ? Kov should be beating on the Joe Smiths of the division, not the unknown ( to most of us) EE's.
BJS is the goods I was scared of him outboxing Lemmy that’s why I didn’t bet. I normally post my bet slips
This is a good fight. Mikhalkin is solid, and he seems to have a decent chin, he may last a little longer than Slava, but not that much longer. Maybe 5 or 6. By the way, Mikhalkin-Oosthuizen, yet another upset I predicted this year.
that was an upset I guess I didnt look at the odds. Oosthuizen was getting some help from judges. Had I saw the odds I would have put money down. wonder if the IBO title is on the line vs Kovalev.
This is a decent enough fight for staying active but someone like Kovalev usually needs a foil to sell or drive interest for a fight in the U.S., not another E.E.. however i guess they were happy with how the Shabransky fight sold/viewed so they are trying the same template again. Of course Barrera taking another pass has to be factored in with Kovalev eventual choice of opponent. Barrera Smith jr Browne All would have been preferrable even that Florida based Serb(Kalazdzic sp) who got robbed against Browne would have been interesting, to bad Heymon is letting him waste away.
Eh...Doesn't sit well with me that he gets pushed to the side when he should have had first crack at the WBO belt. A little too reminiscent of the Stevenson-Alvarez situation for my liking.
I read that the Serb guy has some sort of heart issues and the doctors aren't recommending him to fight again. I don't know if he ever will.
