What a facking BUM!! I would fight him at this point I'm 175 pounds solid. I think Egis Klimas is partly responsible for this because he manages Gvozdyk, he's gonna avoid their fight for a lonnnngggg time.. I guess it's already on BOXREC :( damn at least fight Joe Smith, Badou Jack, or Beterbiev.

Mikhalkin is one of the highest rated fighters in the rankings that I've not properly watched, I've noticed him in the rankings for a long time, he's ranked 11th by Boxrec and is a long reigning European champion with some good wins. I've read that's he's pretty good, and I tried to watch him once but he bored me in that fight after a couple of rounds I switched it off he did look technically good but lacks power.

Decent guy I guess, it’s Kovalev so at least it will be entertaining win lose or draw. It’s amazing how accepting this forum is when a guy of Kovalevs caliber is matched with a solid guy that’s really being thrown in to boost Kovalevs somewhat blemished confidence. I hope he wins so he can move on to some real challenges.

Duva is probably the one who really axed that.

bivol - barrera is on the undercard so he gets winner. Seems like a great deal to me, another easy payday, a highlight reel k.o and then a lead up to who ever wins bivol or barrera. Good stuff HBO.

I wondered why he had been so inactive. Damn shame he's a decent little fighter.

Yeah considering the fairly quick turn around it's an acceptable fight. Hardcore fans know that Mikhalkin is a solid fringe contender if anything else, hopefully this is set up for a fight with Beterbiev/Bivol/Gvozdyk.

Will Ward's resume take a big dive when Bivol drills Barrera into next Tuesday?

Kovalev is now a huge star, but the problem is that in Russia hasn't developed PPV or another television market, and in Russia usually does not use a fee to watch sports events.

Just read that Barrera turned down a fight with Kovalev once again! He had a choice, so he decided to fight Bivol instead..............Kovalev would have been glad to have fought Barrera, but Barrera does not want to fight him.................Kovalev would knock him out and he knows it. Kovalev is really undefeated, he won the first fight with SOB by decision, in the second he was hit to the testicles clearly, but Tony Weeks jumped in and called it a knockout! What they Hell?! The video does not lie, neither does the still pictures! It's time fans tell the truth! SOB cheated! Have a rematch with neutral judges, referee and boxing commission or better still, to be fair, have the rubber match in Moscow with Russian judges, referee and boxing commission, after all, SOB had all three America biased judges, American biased referee and a corrupt boxing commission to help him out with the con game! They don't foot me at all! Bob Bennett's favorite judges in Byrd! The most corrupt judge in boxing!

This is boxing at its "finest". So many options but end up with a relative nobody. ugh...
Not saying that Igor is a bad fighter, definitely a bit better than Lion Heart, but come on...
Barrera, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev and Bivol were the fights everyone wanted to see.
