Sergey Pavlovich Lubkovich born 08-08-1995 is a 5'6 Welterweight with a 6-0 5 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Kostroma, Russia. Sergey became fascinated with the sport at the young age of 8, when he father took him to see his first Boxing match, from that point Sergey vowed to one day become a champion, and in my estimation, he has the tools to accomplish his goal. Unlike many of his fellow Russians, he chose to turn pro at a relatively young age, although he did put together a fairly impressive 189-10 amateur record in a short span winning a few national and regional gold medals along the way. He's trained by Roman Anuchin alongside former titlist the glass jawed Eduard Troyanovsky, a trait that hopefully they don't have in common. He's a natural talent and seems wise beyond his years in the ring, he controls range well, working behind his jab, has solid loose footwork, effortlessly bouncing just out of range, he has fast hands, and can put together nice combinations, his lead right is spiteful, and his quick sniper like hook to the body can be downright venomous, finishing off a few opponents with it. He's still young and doesn't need to be rushed into a big fight too soon, take a cautious approach, that being said, IMO he's already ready for it regardless. Oh and by the way, he's a singer, and he's already recorded his first album, so if his Boxing thing doesn't work out, he always has that to fall back on, if he's good that is. In his 5th pro fight Sergey is taking a huge step up in competition, he's going to be taking on recent Burns & Troyanovsky victim Michele Di Rocco on November 27th.

Good fight, though Sergey will probably stop Di Rocco.

Great stuff CST! Thanks. Nice assessment of Lubkovich's talent too. I think he looks really impressive for a 5 fight novice, if he has a chin I think he can go far.

    :risas3: I had no idea he's a singer

Di Rocco is a big step up in class for him, that said I think he'll KO him if he's as good as he looks so far.

Good thread, I saw his last fight and Sergey definitely looks like a talent. I reckon he'll stop Di Rocco

Thanks! I came across it in some Russian article I found about him and translated, it kind of annoyed me, it was too vague, I really wanted the details, like what genre he sings in, is he a pop singer? Wonder if he's something crazy like a death metal singer emo goth singer?

Judging by his age and his looks, the likelihood we like anything he's done musically, is somewhere between slim and none, who knows he could be a rapper.
