Rabchenko is jabbing Pryce into the ropes and begins to slam down hard right hands. Pryce is looking fragile, looking to lean in and grab Rabchenko. Jabs by Pryce at short range, pushing out at Rabchenko to get space to breathe. Rabchenko is leading with right uppercuts and following in with left uppercuts on the chest. Now a series of jabs and straight rights by Rabchenko pushing forward. Now wide body hooks. Rabchenko is using the full palette. BIG left hook by Rabchenko. Pryce is rocked into the ropes but comes off flurrying.

Rabchenko is hitting Pryce with the jab and power shots but unable to put him away.

Round 6

Pryce is moving and covering up, jabbing Rabchenko in the face and ducking his power shots. Rabchenko is moving forward and failing to corner Pryce, getting hit with counter jabs as Pryce keeps a low center of gravity and keeps moving. Straight combination shot up from the crouch by Pryce.

Round 7

Rabchenko is pushing Pryce to the ropes and eating jabs but landing his left hook and uppercut as Pryce bends his knees and stays fixedly on the ropes, uncertain. Rabchenko drops some right hands up top, partially blocked as Pryce remains inert.

Round 8

Rabchenko is trading hooks with Pryce, running in as Pryce slides his feet back and ducks. Lead uppercut by Rabchenko, dodged. Pryce is caught with an uppercut while sticking up a double jab. Another pecking double jab on the guard by Pryce. Rabchenko is jabbing Pryce on the nose and backing him into a corner. Big right hand by Rabchenko, blocked. Body slices by Pryce.

Round 9

Rabchenko is spearing Pryce with the left from outside. They hook together. Rabchenko is the busier, Pryce cleaner.

Round 10

Rabchenko is throwing fewer punches now, perhaps tiring. Pryce is sweeping out the right hand stepping around Rabchenko and then putting in the uppercut below the elbows as he ducks in and then darts out to the side. Flurries by Rabchenko, not catching Pryce as he bounces around.

Round 11

Rabchenko is strapping Pryce with the right hand from outside, moving in and out of range, leading with left hooks to the body which Pryce is able to net on his crossed arms. Pryce is countering with the jab when Rabchenko moves in and circling. Pryce is lifted off the ground by a left hook to the chest but keeps firing back.

Round 12

Rabchenko is flapping down with the right hand from outside, not much power behind it, just desperate to make contact. Pryce is bouncing off the ropes bodily and then ducking and weaving in past Rabchenko landing body shots and jabs on the face. Rabchenko is clubbing at Pryce from outside and getting slipped and countered.

Brilliant second half surge by the veteran, especially considering he looked on the verge of being knocked out in the first three and looked for a moment like he was going to consider not answering the bell for the fourth.

 

That is twice now that a past his best Pryce has given the highly esteemed Rabchenko a difficult night's work.
