I gave Sergey the 10th, but yeah, he was clearly staggered by the right that landed and another one a few seconds later, and he rocked him a few times in the 11th as well, it was subtle, but he was stunned. So if you take into consideration that Culcay was stunning him on occasion combined with the fact that he was gassing pretty badly late, that doesn't bode well for his chances of seeing the final bell against GGG. He won't be easy to take out, and it probably won't be early, but late he's vulnerable and GGG's power is still there, it hasn't diminished that much, he was even able to hurt Canelo late in both fights.

Culcay performed admirably and did a fine job, but stop the ball licking of Golden Jack just because Sergey is a GGG opponent. He lost that fight fair and square, and the fact that you think he didn't..... further emphasizes YDKSAB, especially where scoring a match is concerned.

James5000 is a certified GGG hater. His speciality is saying Golovkin is a weight bully and bigger than 90% of his opponents.

    At least he's consistent :D

I'm with CST and IB on this one. If no dramatic changes in either fighter have occurred, Golovkin takes a comfortable UD or late stoppage. If Golovkin goes life and death with SD, then stick a fork in him, he's done. I feel that stylistically Golovkin will be able to outbox SD. On the other hand if SD can turn it into a close quarters battle and use those angles of his, GGG is in for a horrid night.

    Ggg wins late stoppage

This dervyancheko is overhyped due to his amateur career, he’s good but not good enough

Dervechenko is a good fighter, but ggg is on an other level. Ggg will stop him before the sixth round.

Fun style clash, but not much more a little one-sided imo. Always like watching a bit of Derevyanchenko though so no complaints. Nice high workrate in this one too which is never a bad thing.

Derevyanchenko is a really skilled fighter, and to be frank, has a case for the #1 MW right now imo, but that's probably worthy of a thread of its own. His footwork is very good, his punches are sharp, tight and quick and he has a good chin too, his biggest knock is that he's a pretty slow starter and isn't the hardest to hit. The Technician also has a pretty workman like punch volume too. I'm a big fan.

Culcay showed he wasn't ****, I guess. Obviously I'm playing, but Jack showed a few things here. A good punch, a better chin, a willingness to get stuck in and good boxing skills. His gas tank wasn't too shabby either.

What did these two rehydrate to? They looked ****ing huge! 180-185 range. Don't look like MWs that for sure. Slow couple rounds to begin, really picked up after round 2.

@The Malibu Mauler, thanks for the recommendation, but my FOTY was better...;)

Complete tangent, but I ****ing hate the day-before weigh in rule. Makes things overly complicated, allows weight bullying and let's very specific genetics to overcome skill and talent. If it went back to the same-day weight in era we'd see CWs without flab and people looking like the weight they fight at. Guys like Tank would have to be more disciplined or they'd be up 2/3 divisions higher than they were. Hell, rehydration clauses would be nerfed too.

I dont remenber any hurt in either fight
(if you refers to the 10th in second fight, it was more "buzzed" than hurt).
Hurt is very strong adejective, so, no, zero hurt.
