Sergey Vyacheslavovich Derevyanchenko vs. Jack Robert Culcay-Keth

Culcay is a good boxer. Beat Andrade and gave Sulecki a close fight at 154. He should do much better at 160 as he was drained at 154 and had issues with his stamina in the late rounds. If he shows up with a smart game plan he can beat Derevyanchenko who is - to be fair - overrated at this forum. If he fixed his stamina issues and will show up with good game plan like i mentioned before he can beat the Ukrainian. He looked strong at the weigh in though. Can see him scoring a huge "upset".

 

I hope you don't think Pulev can upset Anthony Joshua too

I would be impressed if Derevyanchenko could stop Culcay.

I think it's basically a 50/50 fight except Derevyanchenko will 100% get the decision robbery or otherwise.

Culcay is just awkward to face, hard to land clean on and has a good work rate himself.

Derevyanchenko isn't a big puncher so can't see a 1 punch ko and definitely don't see an accumulation stoppage.

 

It is because that is the only continent called out when describing levels. You don't hear people say African level, or Asian level right? It comes off the tongue sounding like Euro level is inferior on the world stage.

I think it's going to be a close fight; Both guys have good chins so I think it'll go the distance. You have to favor Derry but I took Culcay at +800 because those odds are off IMO. I'd say Derry wins 7 out of 10 fights.

I actually think Culcay is harder to clip cleanly but Derry's workrate and speed (Culcay has average speed from what I can tell) I think will see him through the fight. Should be a good fight either way.

Culcay beat Andrade? No in the hell he did not.

 

I agree with all of this. But I think SD work-rate is much better than Culcay and that'll be the difference in the fight.
