When he fights (or before the fight, when he chooses an opponent), a thought of losing is not even on his mind. He has a bully's mentality.

This will end with Chavez JR fighting poor Kovalev and putting him in a wheelchair! Please Kova fans let the champ retire

I see this going the same way as Chocolatito vs SSR 2.. First fight was close but second fight was a demolition job..

If Kovalev can make it to the 12th he can win but I expect him to get stopped. I thought he was winning before he got knocked down but his survival instincts we poor.

Well we saw Alvarez could take Kovalev's shots but Kovalev couldn't take the power shots from Alvarez . A rematch would likely play out the same .

I would rather see them fight different opponents . Kovalev isn't done just yet and Alvarez is now the man at 175 .

Kovy is done, he’s old and past prime, because of his bad habits he did age a bit too soon. Alvarez by KO

He says he wants it but I suspect that when the time comes to run the kilometres, crunch the crunches, spar for hours, follow the diet ... he's not so keen. This Kovalev != the Kovalev we saw in his early days. Alvarez will smash him again.

Kovalev doesn't want the rematch, he's just saying that to convince himself lol. he needs to retire like his trainer told him.... even if he won the fight, he should retire.

Kovalev used John David as a scapegoat for his last 2 losses. Bringing in an amateur Russian coach doesnt cut it in the pros. He wasnt prepared for this fight in many ways.
