    Round 5

Sciuto jabbing and turning Sosa. Lunge-in combos by Sosa, getting roars of approval from outside the ring but at most he's grazing the ribs of Sciuto. Now heavy body shots from the lanky southpaw, mixed in with hard left hands pushed over the guard and thudding into the cheek. Sosa pressuring with wild, loose uppercutting combos stomping in. Sciuto checking him with straight lefts on the stomach.

    10-9 Sciuto

    49-46 Sciuto

Weird ass fight. Pretty much a schooling with a clear difference in class except for that anomalous second round where Sosa came on strong and Sciuto had that near total collapse and spent the better part of three minutes seeming like any shot might kayo him.

    Round 6

Sciuto is sticking out jabs in triplets, changing altitudes. Sosa coming in hooking at the head, getting a piece and making Sciuto backpedal. Sosa is leaping in now with chopping rights and Sciuto is scurrying away, making use of his long spindly legs and rolling out a jab for Sosa to rush into. Sosa bobs and weaves in, trying for a line drive right on the face coming up from a crouch, he just nicks Sciuto. Left hands from Sciuto crashing into the guard of Sosa. Jump-in flurry by Sosa, going to body and head, messy clinch.

    10-9 Sciuto, closer

    59-55 Sciuto

    Round 7

Sciuto putting out a double right jab and then bowling the left hand into the belt line. Sosa keeps pressuring and looping rights into Sciuto's temple after pattycaking his jab. Both throw wide hooks and miss, then circle and fence with the jab, neither finding much success. Looping right from Sosa rubs the lip of Sciuto again. Sciuto pawing jabs but not touching clean, no snap on them, just precautionary.

    10-9 Sosa

    68-65 Sciuto

I have no idea who's going to win this fight. Good televised co-main event tbh.

    Round 8

Sciuto is jabbing and stepping left, returning his fist to home back tightly squeezed against his opposite right palm in front of his chin - but Sosa is still getting his own left jab through and turning his face with it. Sosa is staying close and shredding the body, then jabbing hard into Sciuto's face through his gloves. Sosa now just abandons inhibition altogether, uppercutting several times. Sciuto pops him with a couple of southpaw 1-2s and sets him a bit more honest. Sciuto now attempts to steal the round shaving the hairline of Sosa with the right jab. Nothing doing on my end.

    10-9 Sosa

    77-75 Sciuto

Great to see the Luna Park with a ring again. So many memories of Nicolino Locche getting the crowd totally crazy.

    Round 9

Sciuto is getting ripped with looping blows from either side, but weathering it and circling out behind the long jab. Sciuto unable to hold up a guard while moving, feeling the pace here in the late going. Sosa's body work also maybe paying dividends. Sosa begins winging in two-pieces, jabs followed by rocketing incline rights and overhands. Bad cut opened by Sciuto's right eye. He's taking a pasting in the ninth but still hanging in, throwing a bunch of jabs and the odd left hand but nothing to compare with Sosa's tally.

    10-9 Sosa

    86-85 Sciuto

    Round 10

Respectful glove touch at the starting bell. Sciuto is commanding the center of the ring at first, leaning in and buzzing the forehead of Sosa with the southpaw jab. Sosa isn't having it for long, though, and tries laying claim to alpha dog with some lead rights. Both are knackered, long breaks of staring at each other. Sciuto jabbing and 1-2ing into the air. Sosa throwing his own short stubby straight shots coming nowhere close. Both happy to not engage after the hellish pace in the previous nine. Under a minute left now. Fight hanging potentially in the balance, who is going to show a bit of fire in the belly? Sosa puts together some light pinball machine paddles on the body. Warning clap. Sciuto pops a few weak jabs, and Sosa drubs him with a high axing right across the side of the neck after missing three other shots.

    10-9 Sosa

    95-95

Even though I have it a draw, he's the deserving winner if anyone. He won all his rounds bigger than Sciuto did his own, and dealt by far the most damage.

The commentator has it 98-92 for Sosa.

It seems like I'm the outlier giving Sciuto as much credit as my card suggests. I actually much prefer Sosa's fighting style, just wish he was a little bit smarter dealing with height and movement instead of just wasting energy on ineffective offense when not in range. That said, when he laid it on Sciuto he made him regret ever lacing up gloves. And to be fair, just had a glance at his record and this was only his third ever time dealing with a southpaw (the other two not even being fellow prospects but outright tomato cans).
