Maybe there should be a disabled boxing league for guys like Martinez. Or a legends circuit like in tennis, where they don't take it too serious.

Wouldn't count Campus out against Chavez Jr. or comeback Martinez. He's as tough as they come. It could be a career ending for either guy

Maravilla seems like a smart guy, though, I'm sure he invested wisely during his time on top...plus he's a celebrity in two countries (his adopted home base of half a dozen years, Spain, as well as his native Argentina), with a stable of fighters he promotes & manages on both sides of the Atlantic. Pretty sure he still has Spanish/Argentine endorsement deals, too. He can't be hurting that badly.

I think he's the sort to come back for love of the game, or because the way things finished off left a bitter taste in his mouth.

How much credit do we give Maravilla if he pulls this off, with all the factors stacked against him? Will the accomplishment be dismissed because of Carrasco's decline (and having never been that good to begin with; I mean he did lose 11 rounds clearly in their last encounter...) or would this rank among the ATG comebacks? Somewhere about circa Acelino Freitas vs. Michael Oliveira territory? Vitali Klitschko vs. Samuel Peter? Henry Maske vs. Virgil Hill II?

Who is Carrasco? The only Carrasco I know was Pedro Carrasco :-D

If Sergio is allowed to fight on a wheelchair he has a chance to defeat ChavezJr just by jabbing the body. I enjoyed Sergio's run-at-the-top but at the end he was limping like a pirate on a wood leg... He did not run a mile or spar a round prior to Cotto's fight and went there just to being abused by a midget and cash out.

Sergio vs 'I was high' Chavez jr would be like a WWE show... I don't care about it

    In the US? Who knows.

I seriously doubt this happening anywhere other than Mexico, though, considering that JCC Sr. is the one that pushed for it and organized/mediated the whole thing.

I'm pretty sure Mexican commissions would clear a Chavez Sr. vs. Roger Mayweather II and just rubber stamp their medical screens without either of them ever having to remove his pants.

This fight should be an undercard on ESPN. On a scale of 1 to 10 this fight is a 2.

not a very good fight at all. I don't know who wins. I don't know if it matters.
