    I've always been skeptical of Nelson since he was an unbeaten prospect (not that he's too far removed now, only once-beaten) but he does have a couple of solid gatekeeper scalps and did upset Cuban amateur star Yudel Jhonson...and obviously he poses all sorts of stylistic whammies for a young kid. He's got that PW package of height, length, workrate, ability to surprise guys by working well on the inside despite his dimensions, and a solid chin... Not much speed or power, though.

    I'm willing to cut Jackson a break...so long as he escapes with the W...

    Nelson straight hustles Jackson. Charging forward with the earmuffs up, and dropping arms on Jackson without letting him catch his breath. Jackson is flashing out counters on the backfoot but can't really get the right angle on them or put much power into them. Nelson is just pushing forward and slapping all over him.

    I think he'll get the "W" - he's won most of the rounds, imo - but I just expected more. I know the kid isn't gonna be his old man, necessarily, but something impressive would have been nice for a TV debut.
