I had Martinez winning 116 - 111 which after having a quick look round the internet is clearly not a popular view. However, I felt Murray could have done more in a number of rounds to leave the judges in no doubt that the quality was coming from him.

I watched the fight with Russian commentary so have no idea what was being said on the UK or US channels.

Arreola not his his usual swarming, attacking self. Body shots and loss of blood, is taking it's toll.

    Round 8

Stiverne is doubling the jab and crashing into Arreola's nose with the hard right cross. Arreola is doddering backward, blubber quaking all down his spine. BIG right hands downstairs by Stiverne. Arreola is slowly but surely dropping his guard, leaving a wide open lane for Stiverne. Arreola dives in with a sloppy right to the body. Stiverne feints with an up-jab and makes Arreola flinch without throwing anything. Hook by Stiverne, landing up top and then repeating to the body. Arreola mauls his way in and drapes his arms over Stiverne. The ref splits them. Stiverne carries his left low and taps a few jabs against Arreola's body, followed by a right hand.

    10-9 Stiverne

    77-74 Stiverne

I've been extremely critical of Stiverne in the past...

But boy am I impressed tonight.

Is anyone else stunned by how quick and sharp that left hook is off the feint?

And how impressive is the body work? This isn't normal for contemporary HW's.

The vicious KD might have something to do with all that.

I think 116-111 is too wide, but I agree with Martinez winning. I had 115-112, but could have easily seen it 114-113 for Maravilla.

I agree! If he worked on some head movement he could be a real threat . . . I got it 78-73

Arreola is a warrior, no matter the outcome of this fight.

Arreola just missed with a big uppercut, after throwing a flurry of punches.

The only things Arreola has left is experience and heart. Everything else is a mess, including his face.
