    The weirdest thing about it really is the WBC already has a "North American" national-level affiliate: the NABF. :huh

    (two of the other PPV undercard bouts, Lee vs. Jackson and Vazquez vs. Sonsona II - are both for NABF titles...)

    So the USNBC seems quite redundant.

    Maciel is pressing Melendez against the ropes with jabs and two-handed uppercuts scraping the guard. Melendez works his way off the ropes shoving out with both arms, then digs in some body shots. Dipper left on the cup by Melendez, warned to keep them up. Maciel rips his way forward with uppercuts, hitting mostly arm. Straight right on the belly by Maciel. Melendez lands a short right hand and then crashes a left hook in behind Maciel's ear. Right uppercut, left uppercut by Maciel pushing Melendez onto the ropes. Melendez lands a very deliberately low left hook and is warned sternly.
