Maciel nails Melendez with right and left hooks up top pushing him into the corner. Melendez lays there getting hit, earmuffs on keeping a bit of Maciel's firepower out but not all of it. A solid half minute of Maciel wailing away. Melendez circles out and gets his jab going again.

Maciel is trickling out body jabs coming forward, lobbing the right across the gap and falling short. Melendez is jabbing and circling, boxing off the balls of his feet with his arms low. Maciel pushes Melendez briefly into a corner with a power combo. Melendez lands a right hand behind the ear from outside. Melendez is dancing around, pushing his jab out to deflect and obscure.

Maciel is a damn beast.

He is this fit year-round. Imagine how this would go if he kicked into high gear with a fully dedicated training camp? Melendez could already be gone. (remember, he was stopped twice early on against inferior opposition)

 

Maciel is getting robbed again if he fails to get the KO, huh? :-(
