Likely scenario. But Cotto looked large in the shoulders in this one and boxed beautifully.

Oh I agree.. it's not like Sergio seemed to care until the ref called it... until then he seemed to be sitting as Cotto was up and ready to go... he's not stupid.. he knows what was going on.

    ...still...

If you mean the Fox Sports Live interview, the exact quote if memory serves was that Cotto believes that he can stop Mayweather now with Roach in his corner. Roach didn't really confirm or deny that he agrees.

Good riddance to Martinez. The man held the middleweight title hostage for too long.

You sound like a *****. Martinez accepted the fight knowing the condition of his knee. Life isn't 100% guaranteed health. Martinez made no excuses after the fight and admitted Cotto hurt him more than anyone in the past.

Martinez would be disgusted with a casual like you making excuses for him. Grow some balls.

It will never happen. Cotto will never give GGG a shot. GGG may as well change weight classes now, he will never see the lineal MW title. We'll probably have Cotto/Mayweather next and Mayweather will get it.

Heartbroken for Sergio, one of the greatest I've had the pleasure to watch fight. It got hard to watch at times, I've seen this man toy with Kelly pavlik and Paul Williams, but it was painfully obvious he did not have it tonight. Guess it's time to sit around and wait for that hall of fame induction!

Good win for Miguel cotto though! I look forward to seeing what he can do at 160. Cotto vs soliman, quillin, and even Murray would be good scraps. I don't if I'd let him near GGG though...
