He's a classy fighter but it's now or never for him. If he's as good as people say then he should completely outbox Cintron. My prediction is he'll blow it.
He'll play with Cintron, and stop him at will.... I'd say his one of the best fighters flying under the radar, if not THE best....I'd love to see him in there with Mora or one of the other name fighters in the division (Mora is considered a name right?)
I've honestly only seen him against Margarito and Bunema so it's hard for me to make a solid opinion. He was amazing against Bunema but he's a b-class fighter at best and of course he lost to Margarito. It's a toss up for me but I'll be rooting for Cintron.
If he does to Cintron what he did to Bunema, I'll think pretty damned highly of him. Not that I think Cintron is unbeatable by any means, but he does have something of a new lease on my respect after the Margarito revelations.
He's largely a zone/rhythm figher, and once he gets his rhythm going - watch out. He can light it up. He is however potentially annoying (if not well beyond that) with the theatrics, and seemingly listless and unimaginative until he clicks into mode. He has to have his rhythm, and that could be a problem at some point once he finds someone who can break that rhythm, or keep him out of it altogether. There's more to the story of course, he's not exactly air-tight on the defensive end - tomorrow night is going to tell us alot.
I admittedly don't think much of Cintron and believe any top fighter would have their way with him. I however happen to think highly of Martinez and hope to see him in with better competition after he waxes Cintron tomorrow.
Martinez didn't get another W in his record, but he gained lots of respect. There should be a rematch, hopefully on a good card like yesterday.
