In truth.... Martinez vs GGG is the fight to make at middleweight. Everything else is just settling for decent fights, while wanting the main one.

Hope Martinez and team decide to choose GGG as his next challenger.

To hell with Chavez... let him fight Pirog, Geale, Macklin, ect. And earn a rematch. Winning 1 minute in 12 rounds shouldn't get him one.

Martinez vs GGG..... make it happen Lou!

Dude, if you want a fight and push for it when offered, you can get it.

GBP visibly did not want Alvarez to fight Trout, but he did. He pushed for it and got the fight.

If Alvarez had not fought Trout, would you be on here defending him? Of course not. You'd say "he scurred of the BBC, blat blat blat ya dig?" You'd never say "Ginger has no control over who he fights, his promoters do that" like how you're defending Quillin. At least be consistent in your reasoning, troll. Quillin could have had the fight with GGG if he wanted it. But he didn't.

Shame, because the winner of that fight if it happened would probably have a chance at Martinez by now. But Quillin and GBP obviously decided it'd be safer to sit on the belt in Barclay's and eventually cash out after awhile than make a big fight and establish a new star at Middleweight.

If GGG sucks as much as you claim he does, GBP and Quillin would have eagerly taken the exposure and his belt in the process. But they didn't. They know GGG would destroy him.

Golovkin-Proksa (the date offered to Quillin) was back in August 2012. GBP was still working with HBO at the time. They're not anymore, but back then, it was possible. Now it isn't.

You really comparing Alvarez pull with GBP to that of Quillins.

Quillin says he wants the highest ranked fighters in his weight class. That means Martinez at 1, Geale at 2, and GGG the junior middleweight slayer

Like i said, you keep saying Quillin is "sitting on his belts" despite the fact he has fought the best comp at middleweight outside of Martinez, much better than GGG disgraceful competition

You hatred of Quillin is laughable honestly.

Qullin has been calling Martinez out for 3 years. GBP wanted Martinez vs Chavez however

“We’re looking for a big-time fight. I’m waiting to hear back from Golden Boy about his next fight, whether it’s in September or October. Golden Boy needs to get us a couple of good fights before Martinez. We’ll take on guys like (Julio) Chavez, Jr., (Matthew) Macklin, (Daniel) Geale, (Peter) Manfredo) or (Marco Antonio) Rubio. Those are the type opponents we need to fight and win to get closer to a Martinez fight. Petey is HBO ready; he’s 25-0 and a KO artist. Golden Boy needs to get us a big fight on HBO so the boxing world can see this kid fight.”

If anything, Canelo being a cash cow would have given GBP even more reason to tell him "no way are you getting Trout." GBP likely doesn't give anywhere near as much of a **** about Quillin and would be less hellbent on safeguarding his "0" as a result. They'd probably be more willing to let him do what he wants since they're not as invested in him as they are in someone like Ginger, Broner, or Danny Garcia.

Words and actions are two different things, as we're all aware. You could say you want a shot at Wlad. Doesn't mean it's true or you'd take the steps necessary to secure a fight with him. Quillin knows he's not going to have to fight any of those 3 guys with the GBP-HBO fatwa. Even without that, he'd still need to fight someone like Golovkin or Geale before he could get to Martinez. And unfortunately for him (and Golovkin), Geale is probably even more hellbent on protecting his belt than fighting to prove he's the best at Middleweight.

Yup, Fernando Guerrero, a blown-up Jr. Middleweight himself who is most well known for getting trashed by a 40 year old Grady Brewer. And Winky Wright, who hadn't fought in 3 years prior to Quillin, was 40 years old at the time, and was also...another blown-up Junior Middleweight. And he wants an N'Dam rematch (who ducked GGG himself and gave up his interim WBA belt rather than unify). And there's talk of him fighting Chavez Jr. leftovers in Rubio after Guerrero as well. Hardly a murderer's row of opponents.

I don't hate on Quillin himself, he seems like a decent enough fellow, but he should not be champion right now and simply isn't doing all he can to prove he deserves to have a belt.

You do know Fernando Guerrero beat Rosado right?

Guerrero has been fighting at middleweight since 2009. How is he a blown up middeweight lol?

Stop talking nonsense son. He deserves the belt because hes beaten a top list of opponents, unlike GGG who is champion yet fights junior middleweights.

You obviously have somthing against Quillin because you continue to make up lies about him and sayin he sittin on a belt despite fighting the best string of opponents at middleweight outside of Martinez.

As for Alvarez being dictated to by GBP umm no. Your logic is once again silly. Alvarez is a growing icon and GBP was already takin heat for matching him with poor fighters. When the Trout fight came up they were backed into a corner and GBp did their damndest to avoid that fight but when Alvarez demanded that fight they had no choice or there name wiuld have been tarnished across the boxing webs

lets face it. Sergio is THE MW Champion until proven otherwise. The other belt holders arguably round out the top 3-4
