Would be really funny if he loses to Barker.

All this talk about fights with Pac, Pbf, Cotto, Margo, all while the Barker fight is days away. Don't know if I've ever seen such apparent disregard for an upcoming fight.

Hope Barker kicks his ass.

 

Actually Martinez is in his 3rd weight class also. He started at 147.
So how did it work out for Tito going up and giving up all that weight??

also its not even a matter of the weight. If Pac was at 168 Martinez would chase him. Martinez is one of those guys that it took a decade for him to finally be recognized as a top fighter. Many people have ducked him and now that he has some pull there is no need to fight lesser fighters.
Pac, PBF, Cotto and Margarito have bigger fanbases than Hopkins or Ward ever will. Its just the way it is. Not to mention they would be much easier fights for him.

Its business and as a guy who watched Martinez be kept from the spotlight for so long i just want him to finally cash out. He deserves it.
He just happens to be targeting some of your guys lovers so you hate on him saying he needs to fight bigger guys. The guy is not even that big to begin with. Margarito is bigger than him.

 

So you would take the "risk" to go down what? 10-20 pounds fight night and yet you can't go up 8 pounds, which is ironic because you weigh in like 170 already....

 

No excuse for PAC not to fight him at 150 then is there.

Exept pacquiao only fights people coming off defeats.

 

And business says Pac and PBF would be dumb to fight him.
So if you are going to accept the "business" argument for Martinez, be ready to accept it for Pac and PBF.

 

Martinez was lured to 160 but looks ridiculously small against real 160ers. He needs to move back down although he can still beat the big guys at 160 on skill... but it is a ridiculous weight class for little Sergio.

 

Ha see the thing is Pac and PBF have already gotten paid big for their troubles. Martinez is still waiting on it. It would be a valid argument saying it was low risk low reward but hell he is the number 3 p4p fighter in the world and a MW champion (unofficially) so there is huge rewards there for both of them. Not to mention why the hell would we want to have PBF and Pac fighting 38 year old guys who will just run and are past it.
