Pac has had one bout at 140 and several bouts at WW. Stop pretending he is a JMW. He clearly now is a WW.
Margo has no chance against Floyd. That wound't even been fun to watch. It would be a beatdown, just like Gatti vs. Mayweather. Martinez on the other hand...I could see him whipping Floyd. He's got a lot of power in his punches, he's quick and he's not afraid. If Floyd fights Martinez like Haye fought Valuev (ie: like a sissy in track shoes), he might eek out a decision. If Floyd gets caught with that shot Paul Williams did...or with a shot like Judah or Mosley caught Floyd with...its lights out for Floyd.
Pls read the article properly...is ur hatred for Floyd that nad that it affects ur ability to read a simple article?
Dont take the TS' posts/thread seriously. He/she is not a real boxing fan, just a Pac fan that will disappear once Pac loses/retires. Its obvious that he/she didn't read the article.
it would be the greatest challenge of manny's career , if he pulled it off he would live forever , surpassing all before him , save srr
Yeah, he might as well try. He just needs to be more cautious and not do that stupid bravado that he's accustomed to where he let's his opponent whale away on him for half of a round to test his power. :rofl Manny might even get lucky and get a Martinez who just hit the wall age and weight wise at 154lb.
I have read many of your posts.. you know boxing... but you missed my point entirely. What's the difference in a 200lb man throwing a punch at you or a 140lb man throwing a punch at you if NEITHER PUNCH LANDS? the answer is NOTHING! What's the difference if a .22 round misses you or if a canon ball misses you? NOTHING because neither lands. My point was Marquez is SIGNIFICANTLY FASTER than Margarito and he couldn't hit Floyd. What makes you think a much slower person is all of sudden going to hit Floyd. This is about SPEED, not POWER. If the shots don't land it doesn't matter how big or strong you think the fighter is. ADDITIONALLY, look at Marquez workrate? Floyd shuts busy fighters down. He IS the least hit person with the highest landing percentage in boxing. Period! What makes you think a big guy throwing (relvatiely) slow punches is all off a sudden going to be able to hit and/or hurt a guy who barely ever gets hit? And when he does he takes it well. Sorry BUT there is NO case to be made for Margarito even being competitive w/ Floyd. There's something about how Floyd fights that takes away his opponents strengths. EVERYONE who fights him has considerably lower workrate than their normal Compubox #'s. He just shuts them out basically. They stop punching because they can't hit their target. IF Floyd fought Margarito you'd see a similar fight to Pacquiao EXCEPT that Margarito would have less damage, and Floyd would have NO damage. And i love watching Pacquiao fight so don't get me wrong... he has the crowd pleasing style and takes risks to push the action. Floyd is totally different. It's like trying to compare a Muscle Car with a Ferrari...
To be fair, Margarito has a big reach advantage over Marquez. He can also pressure more recklessly with the confidence that PBF can't hurt him. Those are two things which might allow Margarito to land on Floyd where Marquez couldn't. Also, Marquez at 145 was not his usual self. He was more lethargic and slower.
If I hadn't watched Floyd sparring LWH and HV in the gym I would maybe understand.. I'm telling you.. his GIFT is avoiding shots. AND he's not a weak puncher.. Floyd can punch.. But he doesn't SHOCK guys with his shots... he just humiliates them. I think Margarito stayed mentally in the game because he was sporadically having his moments with Pac, so he had that belief he could maybe get it done. But let's be honest... Fighters get completely frustrated by Floyd's defensive wizardry. WHEN he an Pac do fight, we are going to see how Pacquiao reacts to not being able to hit his target.. and see how he responds and adjusts to it. Other than a lucky punch, I think it's going to be an absolute SKILL mismatch. Max Kellerman said it best... Manny has been well matched... take nothing away from him. He deserves all the accolades and he IS a warrior in every sense of the word. But I see an absolute shut out if that were to take place. There's different types of speed in Boxing. Footspeed, Handspeed, etc.. but what Floyd has that Pac DOES NOT have AT ALL, is reaction speed. Pac's defense is mainly a stellar offense. And he has good footwork, side to side movement etc. But you ALL know what will happen... he's gonna get danced around and turned all night and potshot for 36 minutes. Handspeed means NOTHING if you can't hit the target. I honestly don't see why everyone thinks it's going to be an exciting fight at all.. he truth is Pac's going to do what he does... but it just depends on which Floyd shows up. Floyd's secret weapon is BROKEN RHYTHM...
Pac cannot beat martinez he is like a Huge Marquez that will knock you out Pac and Floyd leave this guy alone please fight eachother
I'm a big Pacquiao fan but no one can honestly believe he wins this. He just fought a passed prime large WW at 150 and got marked up. Pac is a big LW or average JWW. Pac would be at a 20 lbs weight disadvantage against the skilled, fast, slick #3 P4P fighter in the world. He would be going for a 5th lineal title and 9th trinket. Imagine a guy winning a lineal title at 143% of his first title. Thats a JWW to CW change!
