You maybe...but it would be the same as the Mosley fight where most fans said they would give him the due credit and then went back on what they said after he dominated.

Shane is bigger than Floyd.
Shane has skills and decent speed.
Shane was a huge draw...that has 0 to do with the competition inside the ring. Mosley is the 4th biggest PPV draw in the sport.

Oscar fought Hopkins for the 160 title at 156 and he is much bigger than Floyd...155 for the 160 title?

Martinez has been fighting paper-faced, euro-cans lately and has gotten lazy. He better be in for a fight if he locks up with Chavez.

 

:rofl All Chavez Jr. would have as an advantage against Martinez would be 10-12 pounds. THAT'S IT! The Skill gap would be immense.. JCC Jr. would get destroyed! It would look like a father fighting his 11 year old son.. It would be comical! Arum won't let the fight go through.. :nono

There is a chance that Canelo wont be the same. Floyd might whoop him bad and some fighters dont recover mentally.
A bad loss would hurt marketability and wouldn't they make more money spoon feeding Canlo ?
He obviously could beat Kirkland and a few of the other top guys.

If Floyd fights Martinez @ 154 or above that would be great! He would deserve all the credit in the world. As a fan of boxing, a 155 catch-weight for the MW title would be ok with me. Floyd has no business @ 160, It would be unfair. I could see him wanting the fight @ 155 to try to pick up another title in another weight class.
