Huge Ko over top Middleweight Macklin, and a huge dominant win over 2-1 underdog Chavez in which he came off the canvas to win as the REAL champ, and the smaller fighter.

    Please vote, and discuss.

Gotta be him unless matthyse can squeeze in another fight in december with a top guy at 140. Nice year for argentina.

    Not a bad shout!
What i really like about garcia is the calmness he possess. Never panics and sticks to his plan. When does he fight morales?

Donaire has been largely unimpressive against Vazquez Jr and Mathebula, but if he beats Nishioka (and I get the feeling he might not), you could argue he deserves it. Nishioka is far better than Chavez Jr and Macklin.

Guys like Mayweather and Ward just haven't fought enough to warrant inclusion, as fantastic as Ward's performance was.

Who else is there? Maybe you could also argue Marquez if he puts on a clinic against Pacquiao, Garcia if he beats Morales again, Salido if he wins his next fight, the winner of Moreno-Mares, or Broner if he beats DeMarco.

Despite a number of guys compiling some nice wins or putting on a great performance, nobody's really had a stand-out "he's definitely the FOTY" type of run in 2012.

    Nonito Donaire
    SD Vazquez Jr
    UD Mathebula
    x Nishioka

    Carl Froch
    TKO5 Bute
    x Mack

    Danny Garcia
    UD Morales
    TKO4 Khan
    x Morales II

I favor Donaire to win it after the Nishioka fight. Froch and Garcia are also options. I also like the above shout out to Matthysse if he were to fight once more in the calendar year. Marquez should he score a dramatic win over Pac could be in the running on that alone. Froch, Ward, and Mayweather have probably the three best individual wins of the year (Bute, Dawson, Cotto).

Ward was just plain impressive last week. But then again Danny Garcia had a great coming out year.

I like the Carl Froch shout if he beats Mack. He'd deserve a mention for sure.
